Damage Prevention Advisory

At Tigarus we place a damage prevention advisory paper slip on each computer being retrieved during days of rain or snow.

Tips to prevent damage during travel:

  • Secure computer from violent shacking and falling heavy objects, prevents damage to laptop screen, hard drives and power supplies.
  • Keep computer from rubbing on fabrics or furs to prevent static shock.
  • Keep computer away from liquids to prevent water damage.
  • Keep computer away from strong magnets to prevent data lost and damage to electronics.
  • Keep computer within manufacturer’s storage temperature, approximately above -20 C and below 90 C.
  • Always discharge yourself before touching the computer to prevent static shock, can be done by touching metal.
  • Wait for computer to reach room temperature before plugging in and turning on. Rapid temperature changes will damage electronics.

Liabilities Policy:

Blown computer power supply when taken home, in this event we will replace the power supply at cost, customers will only pay the wholesale value of the replacement power supply.
